I went for this chakoshi as looked on the picture beautiful, practical with the holder Pardon me my English). I confirm the diameter is 70 mm. The size seems to be perfect as it is large enough for control purring of Kyutsu teapots or similar. At the same time seems to fit most cups. The handle is long enough to fit most pitchers if need be.
What is not so obvious on pictures is how the metal strainer has beautiful triangular pattern on sides. It just add to the craftmanship and the look. Hopefully the pattern is visible on pictures I attached.
What is a mystery to me what for is the wooden thingy. If I will not figure it out, I will have to ask :).
