Enshu-Ryu Chabako Chasen White Bamboo – Tango Tanimura

This 70 prong Chasen has been hand made by 20th generation Master Bamboo Whisk Craftsman Tango Tanimura. It is sculpted from white Hachiku bamboo that has been seasoned for around 3 years,

It is designed for those practicing the Enshu-Ryu school of Tea Ceremony, but can be used as a good all purpose Chasen. It is distinctive feature is that it has no hanging tassel from the string like a regular Chasen. The string is tied, trimmed and tucked inside the outer prongs giving it a clean and even appearance.

At around 10cm it is designed for a Chabako travel set and is approximately 1cm shorter than a regular Chasen.
