This TT Rikyu-gata Chuaraho Chasen has been hand crafted by Master CraftsmanTango Tanimura, and is made from white Hachiku bamboo that has been seasoned for 2-3 years.
This Chasen has tines/prongs which are thicker and stronger than usual, making it designed for Koicha (thick tea). It is a Rikyu-gata style, or the style favoured by Sen no Rikyu, the father of Tea Ceremony in Japan.
