Shin Kazuho Chasen ‘Sakura’ Pink String – Kubo Komakichi
This Chasen is the result of a collaboration between Koto Tea and Artisan Kubo Komakichi. They feature unique glossy embroidery threads that are used in Kyoto’s ‘Wasou’ traditional Japanese clothing like Kimono.
The threads contrast against rare black Hachiku bamboo that has been seasoned for around 3 years. It is a Shin Kazuho type Chasen with 70 prongs, and is a perfect all purpose Chasen for anyone who wants an even and silky foam on the surface of their matcha tea.
We are proud to be able to collaborate with an artist of such pedigree and family history, and are excited to offer these Chasen exclusively on Koto Tea.

This is an attractive and well-balanced chasen. The pink string is perfect for spring; two of my tea bowls have pink tones, and my favourite celadon tea bowl contrasts nicely with it as well.
