It is made in Yamanaka Japan by Gato Mikio, a family run craft studio with over 100 years of history, using traditional and highly technical wood turning techniques.

Beautiful, works very well.

It is beautiful and appears to work well. The caddy functioned very well the first few days, but now is very difficult to close and open completely. I do not know if it is due to changes in altitude/humidity.
