It has a beautiful cracked glaze that is designed to absorb the colour of tea over time which adds to the character of the cup.

One of my favorite cups so far. Great size, looks like it’s broken and glued back together (it isn’t) but is completely smooth to the touch, having special meaning. (It’s good to show your scars and marks of imperfection and you can still be beautiful, perhaps more so, because of your experience). This is a beautiful piece that is functional and gorgeous.

Despite its ‘cracked’ design, the texture of the cup is actually quite smooth, and its size is just right for me to pleasantly hold on to.
